- Encoding options:
Here we make choices about our encoding options. Higher quality equals longer download time and requires more processing power from the viewer's computer. It is good idea to test the various video encoding options on a computer similar to what your target audience will be using. As the video I am using is relatively small (320 X 240) and is aimed at target audience who likely has faster computers and a high bandwidth internet connetion I am going to choose - Flash 8 - High Quality (700 kbps)

- Advanced Video Encoding Options:
By choosing Show Advanced Settings we can access a number of additional encoding options including video codec (On2 VP6 or Sorenson Spark), Frame Rate, Key Frame Placement, Quality (which was already set in the top dropdown but can be changed here), Resize Video and Audio encoding options.
In general I find the default settings work reaonably well for most of the video I put on the web, although in this instance I am going to uncheck the encode audio option as the video file I am working with just has some random background noise that won't be missed. Click Next.
