Course Fees $655.00. plus GST. An exercise book is included. * Adobe Premiere or After Effects is $1205.00 plus GST per course.

Payment must be received on or before the course date. We accept cash, company cheques, Debit, Visa, and Mastercard.

Your place can be held by purchase order until payment is received. Your place is not secured until payment is received.

Credits:

All credits are valid for a period of one year from course date or date of issue.

Discounts:

A 10% discount applies to the regular course fee when you register for four or more courses at the same time; when four or more people register at the same time from the same company, and for registered, charitable not-for-profit organizations.

Cancellation and Rescheduling:

All cancellations made in writing a minimum of two weeks* prior to the course date are subject to a cancellation charge of $75.00.

If you cancel or reschedule within two weeks of the course date, full payment is due and payable at that time. Credit will be held towards a future course and is valid for one year.

*Note: Adobe Premiere and After Effects require a written cancellation notice of two months.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS3

Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS3 is the professional standard for image-editing. Create visually impressive photo compositions, layouts, web graphics and much more.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS3 - Level 1: This introductory to intermediate Photoshop CS4 & CS3 Hands-On-Workshop will begin with an overview of the Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS3 authoring environment, managing the workspace and basic understanding of the raster image format. The student will become proficient with the fundamental skills: setting image properties, creating, modifying and saving selections, drawing and painting techniques, basic image compositing, working with colour, tonal corrections and type.

This workshop features real life exercises that will not only introduce you to Photoshop CS4’s powerful range of tools and abilities but will give you an understanding of actual industry practices.

Audience: This Hands-On-Workshop is suitable for students who are computer literate though no prior knowledge of Photoshop CS4 & CS3 is required. Students should be familiar with either the windows or mac operating system including such skills as navigating the hard-drive, creating folders, and saving and opening files and can move easily from task to task.

Adobe Photoshop - Level 2: This intermediate to Advanced Photoshop CS4 & CS3 Hands-On-Workshop will build on the image compositing skills learned in level one. Learn advanced image compositing featuring advanced layer and channel techniques, perform advanced image correcting and speed up your workflow with actions and batch processing.

Audience: This is a fairly advanced course and students should have taken Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS3 - level 1 Hands-On-Workshop or have demonstrated equivalent industry experience.

Adobe Illustrator CS4 & CS3

Adobe Illustrator CS4 & CS3 is the industry standard vector drawing program. Use it to create logos, cartoons, technical illustrations, web graphics, brochures, flyers and much, much more.

Adobe Illustrator CS4 & CS3 - Level 1 - This introductory to intermediate Illustrator CS4 & CS3 Hands-On-Workshop will begin with an overview of the Illustrator CS4 & CS3 's authoring environment and powerful range and vector image format. This training concentrates on building a strong base of the fundamental vector drawing skills: Creating and modifying shapes, creating paths with pencil, creating paths and bezier curves with the pen tool, applying brush effects and custom brush creation, converting raster images to vector format with Live Trace, working with colour and gradients, intuitive colouring with Live Paint, creating and using Symbols, and working with type.

Audience: Artists, designers and beginners who wish to use Adobe Illustrator CS4 & CS3 's powerful vector authoring tools to create vector-based graphics, logos and layouts.

This Hands-On-Workshop is suitable for students who are computer literate though no prior knowledge of Illustrator CS4 & CS3 is required. Students should be familiar with either the Windows or Mac operating system including such skills as navigating the hard-drive, creating folders, and saving and opening filesand can move easily from task to task.

Adobe Illustrator CS4 & CS3 - Level 2 - This intermediate to Advanced Illustrator CS4 & CS3 Hands-On-Workshop builds on the skills learned in level 1 and will cover such advanced skills as: Creating and modifying compound paths and compound shapes, creating clipping paths and opacity masks, working with filters and effects, creating and refining blends, saving graphics for the web, preparing documents for print and working with transparency and blending modes.

Audience: This is a fairly advanced course and students should have taken Adobe Illustrator CS4 - level 1 Hands-On-Workshop or have demonstrated equivalent industry experience.

InDesign CS4 & CS3 delivers a creative environment for designing professional layouts with sophisticated graphics and typography.

Adobe InDesign Level 1: This introductory to intermediate InDesign CS4 & CS3 Hands-On-Workshop will begin with an overview of the InDesign CS4 & CS3 authoring environment and proceed introduce the user to InDesign CS4 & CS3 s powerful suite of page layout tools. Students will develop fundamental skills including: Efficient workflow, working within a framed environment, setting up documents, working with text, working with colour, managing transparency, utilizing tables, preparing for hand-off to a service provider, and creating Adobe Acrobat PDF files.

Audience: Designers, prepress professionals and beginners who need an essential understanding of page layout using Adobe InDesign CS4 & CS3 This training has a emphasis on real-world design and print issues.

This course is suitable for students who are computer literate though no prior knowledge of InDesign CS4 & CS3 is required. Students should be familiar with either the Windows or Mac operating system including such skills as navigating the hard-drive, creating folders, and saving and opening files and can move easily from task to task.

Adobe InDesign - Level 2: This intermediate to advanced InDesign CS4 & CS3 Hands-On-Workshop will continue to build on the skills learned in the Level 1 training. Advanced topics include: Managing long documents, working with Bezier paths, importing layered files, adjusting print settings and working with XML.

Audience: This is a fairly advanced course and students should have taken the Adobe InDesign CS4 & CS3 - level 1 Hands-On-Workshop or have demonstrated equivalent industry experience.

For training at locations more than 50 kilometres from Vancouver traveling expenses will apply.

For locations requiring air travel: Flight,accommodation and per diem will be in addition to regular training costs. If the flight is 3 hours or longer an additional days training fee will be charged for travelling time and an addition day(s) of accommodation will be required.
